The World Nineball Tour is thrilled to confirm former World No.1 Fedor Gorst will return to the 2026 Roobet Reyes Cup, with captain Ralf Souquet turning to one of the sport’s most dominant players to help bring the trophy back to Team Rest of the World.
The third edition of the 2026 Roobet Reyes Cup will take place from 15–18 October at Makati Coliseum, Makati, as Team Rest of the World look to end Team Asia’s back-to-back winning streak. Gorst returns to the Roobet Reyes Cup with a point to prove, having fallen short with Team Rest of the World last year. A former World No.1, he remains the only player in the sport’s history to hold the World Pool Masters, World Pool Championship and US Open titles simultaneously — a résumé that places him among the finest players of his generation. Now he sets his sights on the Roobet Reyes Cup, the one trophy still missing from his collection.
Gorst said: “Great to be back in Manila. Last year didn’t end the way I wanted it to, and that stays with you. This time I’m not just going to Manila to compete, I’m going there to win.
“I know what it feels like to fall short at this event, and I don’t want to feel that again. I’m ready to put in the work with the team and bring this trophy home.”
Souquet, who will lead Team Rest of the World for the first time as captain this year, was in no doubt over his pick.
Souquet commented: “Picking Fedor was a no-brainer for me. He’s one of the best to ever do it, and when you have a player of that quality available, you take him. He’s already proven he can win the biggest titles in our sport, and I know how much this one means to him after last year. Having him on our side gives Team Rest of the World a real chance to bring the Reyes Cup home.”
With Gorst now confirmed, he joins Francisco Sanchez Ruiz, Shane Van Boening and Joshua Filler on Team Rest of the World, with one more Wildcard Pick remaining to complete the line-up. The full Team Asia and Team Rest of the World rosters will be announced across the coming days, with more of the world’s leading nineball players set to join the battle for the Roobet Reyes Cup.
