The third edition of the 2026 Reyes Cup will take place from 15–18 October at Makati Coliseum, Makati, as Team Asia look to make it three consecutive victories over Team Rest of the World. Fans unable to make it to Makati Coliseum can catch every moment of the action live on WNT TV, the home of nineball.
Januarta will make his Reyes Cup debut as the youngest player ever to represent Team Asia, capping a remarkable rise that has seen him progress from junior ranks to taking on the very best on the World Nineball Tour.
Januarta said: “I’m really excited and grateful to be part of this event. Playing on a stage this big has always been one of my dreams, and I’m truly thankful to have the opportunity to make it a reality.
“It means a lot to me to compete, represent Indonesia, and share the table with some of the best players in the world. I’m also proud to be part of Team Asia, and I hope that together, we can bring the victory home this year. I’ll give my best, enjoy every moment, and hopefully make Indonesia and Asia proud.”
Bustamante, who will once again lead Team Asia this year, explained his decision to hand Januarta the final pick.
Bustamante commented: “Albert has something special. I’ve watched him grow over the past couple of years and the way he handles himself on the table, even against the top pros, tells you he’s ready for this. He’s young, but he’s fearless, and that’s exactly what you want in a Reyes Cup debutant. I believe he can come in and surprise a lot of people in Manila.”
Emily Frazer, Matchroom Multi Sport CEO, added: “We’ve been really impressed by what Albert has done since joining the Tour. A two-time junior champion on the WNT, he’s now taking on the top pros and proving himself on the big stage against the best across the globe. Going from junior champion to Reyes Cup debutant in the space of a year is proof of the incredible talent coming through the grassroots of our sport, and he’s flying the flag as Indonesia’s leading player. To see him earn his place on Team Asia at just 17 is a huge moment, both for him and as motivation for every junior player on the Tour dreaming of reaching this stage.”
With Januarta now confirmed, the Team Asia line-up is complete, joining Duong Quoc Hoang, Carlo Biado, AJ Manas and Robbie Capito. The full Team Asia and Team Rest of the World rosters have now been finalised, with the world’s leading nineball players set to do battle for the Reyes Cup.
