THE KILLER ARRIVES – JOSHUA FILLER SET FOR ROOBET REYES CUP DEBUT, 15–18 OCTOBER
Joshua ‘The Killer’ Filler is heading to Manila for his Roobet Reyes Cup debut, with one of the most decorated players in the sport joining Team Rest of the World after being selected by captain Ralf Souquet for the 2026 Roobet Reyes Cup, as the World Nineball Tour welcomes another global star to the competition.

The third edition of the 2026 Roobet Reyes Cup will take place from 15–18 October at Makati Coliseum, Makati, as Team Asia look to make it three consecutive victories over Team Rest of the World. Fans unable to make it to Makati Coliseum can catch every moment of the action live on WNT TV, the home of nineball.
Filler may be a Roobet Reyes Cup debutant, but the German is no stranger to the pressure of team competition. A six-time Mosconi Cup champion with Team Europe and two-time Mosconi Cup MVP, Filler has established himself as one of the most accomplished players of his generation.
The 28-year-old arrives in Manila in outstanding form, becoming the first two-time UK Open champion earlier this year after defeating Wojciech Szewczyk in the final to reclaim the title he first won in 2022. Filler is also a former US Open champion and World Champion, making him one of the most decorated players in the Team Rest of the World line-up.
Filler said: “I’m thrilled to be playing in my first Reyes Cup. I’ve won many Mosconi Cups in my career, so I know how different and special these events are compared to playing individually. I’m very happy that Ralf picked me and I’m looking forward to playing alongside the guys and fighting for Team Rest of the World.
“Team Asia have won the Reyes Cup the last two years, so we know how tough it will be, but I know what I’m capable of, and with a strong team, we’ve got every chance to win.”
Souquet, who takes over as Team Rest of the World captain for 2026, had no hesitation in selecting his fellow German for his Roobet Reyes Cup debut.
Souquet said: “Everyone knows what Joshua is capable of, and that’s exactly why I picked him. He is one of the best players in the world right now and he has proven that time and time again, both individually and in team competition. He has so much experience of playing under pressure in the Mosconi Cup, and I know he will bring that experience to the Reyes Cup. Team Asia will know how dangerous Joshua can be, and I’m looking forward to having him on our side.”
Filler will join Francisco Sanchez Ruiz and five-time US Open champion Shane Van Boening in a Team Rest of the World side looking to end Team Asia’s two-year reign over the Roobet Reyes Cup.
The full Team Asia and Team Rest of the World line-ups will be announced across the coming days, with more of the world’s leading nineball players set to join the battle for the Roobet Reyes Cup.
With Filler now confirmed for his Roobet Reyes Cup debut, Team Rest of the World will be looking to use his wealth of team competition experience to challenge the back-to-back champions when the action gets underway.
