Yapp will return to defend the title he claimed in 2025, with the newly crowned World No.1 aiming to add another prestigious US Open title to his collection. The Singaporean will face a field packed with former champions, Major winners and the biggest names in professional pool, with 256 players set to compete for the $500,000 prize fund.

The field features a total of 15 former US Open champions, including Fedor Gorst, Joshua Filler, Francisco Sánchez Ruiz, Jayson Shaw, Johnny Archer and reigning World Champion Carlo Biado.

Also returning are the only five-time US Open champions, Earl Strickland and Shane Van Boening. Van Boening will be looking to add a sixth US Open title to his record after claiming victory at the Florida Open earlier this month, while Strickland will be chasing an unprecedented sixth crown of his own.

Several of the biggest champions from the World Nineball Tour season will also be in action, including Philippines Open champion David Alcaide, Premier League Pool champion Duong Quoc Hoang, European Open champion Moritz Neuhausen, and recently crowned Arizona Open champion Denis Grabe.

With 15 former champions, multiple major winners and more than 50 nationalities represented across the 256-player field, the US Open promises to be one of the most competitive events of the season.

The 49th US Open Pool Championship takes place from 25–30 August at Embassy Suites in Frisco, Texas, with 256 players competing for a $500,000 prize fund.

The 2026 US Open Draw will be announced soon, confirming the bracket for the first stage of the tournament.

Fans in the USA and Latin America can watch the full tournament live on ESPN, while WNT TV will also provide four-table coverage throughout the tournament in the USA and worldwide, alongside international broadcast partners.
