RACE IS ON: WORLD NINEBALL TOUR CONFIRMS QUALIFICATION CUT-OFFS FOR REYES CUP AND MOSCONI CUP
The World Nineball Tour is delighted to confirm the official qualification cut-off events for two of the sport’s biggest team competitions, with places at the 2026 Reyes Cup and 2026 Mosconi Cup to be decided during the remainder of the 2026 WNT season.
The 2026 US Open Pool Championship (25–30 August) will serve as the final ranking event for qualification to the 2026 Reyes Cup, while the 2026 Philippines Open Pool Championship (20–24 October) will determine the automatic qualifiers for the 2026 Mosconi Cup.
REYES CUP 2026
The 2026 Reyes Cup will take place from 15–18 October in the Philippines. Following the conclusion of the US Open Pool Championship in Frisco, Texas, the World Nineball Tour Rankings will determine the automatic qualifiers for Team Asia and Team Rest of the World.
The Reyes Cup will feature Team Asia against Team Rest of the World, with each team consisting of five players.
Each team will include:
- Two automatic qualifiers from the Reyes Cup Rankings
- Two Captain’s Picks
- One Matchroom Wildcard
The Reyes Cup Rankings are based on a one-year qualification cycle, including all WNT Ranking Events played since the first event following the previous year’s automatic qualification cut-off.
For the 2026 Reyes Cup, the qualification period began with the 2025 Philippines Open Pool Championship.
MOSCONI CUP 2026
The 2026 Mosconi Cup will return to the Caribe Royale Resort in Orlando, Florida, from 27–30 November.
The Philippines Open Pool Championship will act as the official qualification cut-off, with the top three ranked players from Team USA and the top three ranked players from Team Europe automatically earning places on their respective teams following the conclusion of the event.
Two wildcard selections will complete each five-player line-up, with all selections made in accordance with the event qualification criteria.
For the 2026 Mosconi Cup, the qualification period began with the River City Open 2025.
With qualification pathways now confirmed, every ranking point earned throughout the remainder of the 2026 World Nineball Tour season will carry added significance as players battle for places in two of professional pool’s most prestigious team events.
